Album Notes & Community Reviews
Arriving at the tail end of the Britpop explosion, the McNamara brothers achieved immediate chart success with this grandiose debut. Heavily utilizing sweeping string sections and Danny McNamara's emotionally earnest vocals, the album established a template for the anthemic, melancholic alternative rock that would define the ensuing post-Britpop era.
