Album Notes & Community Reviews

Conceived by legendary session percussionist Emil Richards, this deeply bizarre instrumental concept album is dedicated entirely to interpreting various gemstones. The project fuses the swinging accessibility of space-age bachelor pad music with dizzying odd-meter time signatures and the earliest integrations of electronic tape manipulation. It survives as a fascinatingly complex, deeply esoteric artifact of late-60s studio experimentation.
