Album Notes & Community Reviews

A vibrant centerpiece of the contemporary London jazz renaissance, 'Yellow' effortlessly bridges intricate musicianship with dancefloor-ready grooves. Multi-instrumentalist Emma-Jean Thackray draws heavily on the cosmic aesthetics of 1970s spiritual jazz, updating them with modern neo-soul vocal cadences and driving funk rhythms. The debut full-length project radiates an overwhelming sense of communal optimism and brass-heavy psychedelic warmth.
