Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded during a period of massive national strikes in Paris, this cross-generational collaboration pairs French avant-folk legend Emmanuelle Parrenin with electronic producer Detlef Weinrich (Tolouse Low Trax). The project weaves her signature hurdy-gurdy playing and ethereal vocals over incredibly slow, hypnotic downtempo and tribal ambient rhythms. It functions as a deeply cryptic, trance-inducing synthesis of ancient acoustic traditions and modern minimal electronics.
