Album Notes & Community Reviews

The second full-length by Engine Down, a band formed between Richmond and Harrisonburg, Virginia, around Keeley Davis, Jason Wood, Jonathan Fuller and Cornbread Compton. 'To Bury Within the Sound' works in frequent 6/8 rhythms and augments the post-hardcore guitar framework with cello, vibraphone and piano, its density matched by existential lyric themes.
