The original album gathers eleven cues from the Dollars Trilogy's finale, built on the famous two-note coyote motif voiced by Alessandro Alessandroni's whistling, Edda Dell'Orso's soprano and I Cantori Moderni. It reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200, stayed on the chart for over a year and was certified gold in August 1968, an unprecedented showing for a European film score.
