Album Notes & Community Reviews

Led by percussionist Will Guthrie, this massive ensemble applies the foundational tunings of traditional Javanese Gamelan to a fiercely experimental acoustic context. Intricate microtonal metallophones crash against dizzying, hypnotic polyrhythms and avant-garde jazz structures. It is a repetitively intense, entirely instrumental masterwork of global-traditional collision and percussive endurance.
