Album Notes & Community Reviews

This Christmas Day Mass from the Notre-Dame school assembles the organa of L茅onin and P茅rotin, the first composers in the Western tradition known by name, sung as they would have framed the liturgy at Paris in the twelfth and thirteenth centuries. Ensemble Organum interleave the polyphony with the chant of the day, reconstructing a complete festal service.
