Album Notes & Community Reviews
Significantly scaling back their chaotic post-hardcore roots, 'The Spark' presents a much more streamlined, melodic alternative rock sound heavily influenced by 80s synthpop. Frontman Rou Reynolds utilized the record's shimmering, accessible production to address severe anxiety, the passing of David Bowie, and deeply unsettling global political shifts.
