Album Notes & Community Reviews

A landmark album in the screamo and post-rock scenes, 'A Dead Sinking Story' is a masterful exhibition of raw, desperate emotion conveyed through a powerful sonic palette. The Japanese band Envy expertly juxtaposes serene, atmospheric soundscapes with overwhelming walls of chaotic sound, led by Tetsuya Fukagawa's piercing, emotional screams. The result is an unsettling yet beautiful and intensely cathartic listening experience that is both brutal and gorgeous.
