Eunoia

Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Eunoia' is a streamlined and focused effort that showcases Envy's continued evolution, blending their foundational screamo and post-hardcore intensity with delicate post-rock and shoegaze-inspired walls of noise. The album is framed as a search for hope amidst feelings of powerlessness, with Tetsuya Fukagawa's vocals moving between plaintive spoken word and raspy, transcendent yells. While more straightforward and melodic than some previous efforts, the record radiates vulnerability and perseverance through its vast and emotionally deep compositions.
