Insomniac Doze

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Insomniac Doze', Envy leans further into the cinematic and epic qualities of post-rock, crafting longer, more sprawling compositions than on their previous efforts. The album refines their signature dynamic of alternating between quiet, atmospheric passages with spoken-word vocals and explosive onslaughts of distorted guitars and gut-wrenching screams. While maintaining the raw emotional potency of their screamo roots, the record emphasizes vast, patient soundscapes, creating a powerful and immersive journey defined by its epic scope and palpable atmosphere.
