Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded heavily at the Band's Shangri-La studios in California, this solo effort functions almost as an unofficial, star-studded summit of mid-70s roots rock. The relaxed, highly communal sessions feature massive contributions from all five members of The Band, as well as Bob Dylan and Ron Wood. The resulting sound leans heavily into warm, laid-back country-rock and blues, distancing Clapton further from his aggressive guitar hero past.
