Pilgrim

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Heavily utilizing drum machines and synthesizer arrangements, 'Pilgrim' marked a significant stylistic departure from the traditional blues-rock stylings typically associated with the guitar virtuoso. The project was heavily informed by personal tragedy, translating profound grief into a slickly produced, R&B-inflected sonic landscape that divided purist critics but found massive commercial success.
