Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spanish synthesist Patricia Escudero, aided by Suso Saiz, radically reimagined the delicate piano works of Erik Satie using early digital and analog synthesis. 'Satie Sonneries' replaces traditional acoustic instrumentation with cold, ethereal electronic tones, emphasizing the inherent minimalism of the original compositions. The recording remains a fascinating, surreal intersection of French impressionism and ambient new age aesthetics.
