Lifetime

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On her fourth album, 'Lifetime', Erika de Casier shifts toward a more insular and atmospheric sound, acting as the sole writer and producer for the project. The record blends the sensual, downtempo grooves of 90s trip-hop and quiet storm R&B with ambient textures and a distinct film noir haze, creating a hypnagogic and immersive listening experience. Lyrically, de Casier moves from direct narratives of romance to more existential reflections on time, mortality, and memory, delivered with her characteristically crystalline and airy vocals over slow-burning, hazy instrumentals.
