Ajatuslapsi

Album Notes & Community Reviews

As a pioneering work of Finnish electronic music, 'Ajatuslapsi' finds Esa Kotilainen extensively exploring the capabilities of the Minimoog and Mellotron. The instrumental compositions utilize repetitive, sequencer-driven structures heavily indebted to the German Berlin School. Beyond its technical achievements, the album cultivates a deeply atmospheric, spiritual mood that mimics the stark beauty of the Nordic landscape.
