Album Notes & Community Reviews
Deeply indebted to the cosmic, bass-heavy template pioneered by Magma, this complex release showcases the French ensemble pushing the boundaries of the niche Zeuhl subgenre. 'Fiction' heavily incorporates aggressive synthesizer arrangements and intricate jazz-rock fusion alongside powerful, soaring dual female vocal performances singing entirely in French. The dizzying, highly rhythmic album is widely celebrated as one of the finest progressive rock documents of the early 1980s.
