Album Notes & Community Reviews
Jazz bassist and vocalist Esperanza Spalding officially debuted her extraordinary talent on 'Junjo' before signing to a major label. The largely acoustic, Latin-inflected post-bop album features her intricate, melodic upright bass playing acting as a fluid counterpoint to her smooth, wordless vocal improvisations.
