Album Notes & Community Reviews

Translating to 'Child of Saivo', 'Saivon lapsi' finds the Finnish extreme metal veterans weaving dark Sami mythology into their sweeping, keyboard-heavy brand of melodic death metal. The album relies on a striking contrast between Altti Vetel盲inen's harsh, guttural growls and pristine, choir-backed symphonic arrangements. It continues their legacy of crafting highly atmospheric, melancholic soundscapes deeply rooted in the freezing landscapes of Northern Finland.
