Album Notes & Community Reviews

Attempting to launch the Hawaiian-born singer onto the mainland pop charts, this production wraps her remarkably pure, slightly exotic vocal timbre in sophisticated orchestrations. The sweeping arrangements straddle the line between serious vocal jazz phrasing and the highly stylized, atmospheric bachelor-pad pop of the era.
