Album Notes & Community Reviews

Self-financed and recorded at the historic Washington D.C. club just months before the singer's tragic passing, this album became the foundation of her immense posthumous fame. Cassidy's pristine, emotionally devastating interpretations of jazz standards, folk, and pop hits are presented with minimal, intimate backing. Initially a regional success, the hauntingly beautiful performance eventually resonated with a massive global audience.
