Album Notes & Community Reviews
Operating as a violent, historical concept album, the Californian gore metal veterans detail the macabre tale of the Burke and Hare grave-robbing murders in 1820s Edinburgh. The aggressive deathgrind and death metal arrangements are incredibly energetic, incorporating cinematic interludes to advance the bloody narrative. The record balances their classic grindcore roots with surprisingly melodic lead guitar work and highly focused storytelling.
