Album Notes & Community Reviews

The California hip-hop producer constructs a brilliant instrumental concept album built entirely from samples captured from Los Angeles FM radio broadcasts. By meticulously chopping and reassembling static, talk-show snippets, and pop fragments, Exile creates a wildly inventive, highly rhythmic beat tape. The record serves as both a love letter to the medium of radio and a stunning display of sample-based virtuosity.
