Album Notes & Community Reviews
The Bahamian artist Tony McKay continued his idiosyncratic fusion of Caribbean folklore, Obeah mysticism, and American roots music on this highly eclectic release. Featuring prominent acoustic guitars intermingled with deep funk basslines and esoteric vocal chanting, the record possesses a slightly more polished, accessible sheen than his earlier, fiercely chaotic albums. It remains a fascinatingly unique hybrid of world music and 1970s psychedelic folk-rock.
