Album Notes & Community Reviews

Serving as the absolute cornerstone of Bad Boy Records' R&B dominance, Faith Evans's debut is a flawlessly executed masterpiece of mid-90s hip-hop soul. The album expertly layers her incredibly powerful, gospel-trained vocals over hard-hitting, sample-heavy boom-bap production crafted by Sean 'Puffy' Combs and Chucky Thompson. It yielded massive crossover hits like 'Soon as I Get Home', instantly crowning her the First Lady of Bad Boy.
