Rooms Filled With Light

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Departing significantly from the mandolin and accordion-driven indie-folk of their celebrated debut, the London-based quintet radically updates their sonic palette on their sophomore effort. The album heavily embraces polished, 1980s-inspired synthesizer pop, utilizing dense electronic sequencing alongside their signature sweeping string arrangements and Simon Balthazar's theatrical vocals. It serves as a highly ambitious, deeply cinematic transition into sophisticated, modern art-pop territory.
