Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the debut of vocalist Ray Alder, this release represents a crucial evolutionary step toward highly complex and cerebral song structures. The centerpiece is the sprawling, multi-part epic 'The Ivory Gate of Dreams', which showcases the group's virtuosic musicianship and shifting time signatures. It remains a foundational text in the development of progressive metal as a distinct subgenre.
