Album Notes & Community Reviews

The idiosyncratic songwriter's fifth album completely abandons modern indie rock and folk conventions in favor of lush, Golden Age Hollywood orchestration. Heavily indebted to jazz standards, lounge music, and mid-century cinema scores, the grand arrangements underscore his characteristically cynical and romantic lyrical narratives.
