Album Notes & Community Reviews

A deeply idiosyncratic figure in Italian music, Faust'o delivers a jagged, highly eccentric blend of cantautore tradition and avant-garde new wave on 'Poco zucchero'. The album utilizes jittery synthesizers and manic, theatrical vocal deliveries to express a profound sense of urban paranoia and sarcastic disillusionment. It has steadily gained cult status as a pioneering, uncompromising text of the Italian post-punk underground.
