Album Notes & Community Reviews

Initially released entirely independently and sold at shows, Leslie Feist's true debut album hints heavily at the immense critical success that would follow[cite: 1]. 'Monarch' is a remarkably intimate, highly melodic indie pop record, frequently incorporating delicate acoustic guitars and subtle chamber pop orchestration to support her distinctly crystalline vocals[cite: 1].
