Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded alongside Cream drummer Ginger Baker, this historic performance highlights the incredible cross-cultural exchange occurring within the burgeoning Afrobeat movement. Baker's heavy, rock-infused drumming seamlessly meshes with Tony Allen's complex polyrhythms, creating a massive, deeply hypnotic foundation for Kuti's commanding vocal and saxophone improvisations.
