Album Notes & Community Reviews
A staggeringly powerful, deeply personal indictment of the Nigerian government following the tragic military assault that killed his mother. 'Coffin for Head of State' is an incredibly passionate, ferociously angry Afrobeat masterpiece built on extended, highly repetitive, and intensely rhythmic grooves that perfectly frame Fela's scathing political and religious protest.
