Album Notes & Community Reviews
Recorded shortly after Kuti's highly publicized release from a Nigerian prison, this album features prominent production work by Wally Badarou. The sprawling Afrobeat compositions brilliantly contrast lush, sophisticated horn arrangements with fierce lyrical critiques targeting Western colonial influence and domestic political corruption.
