Album Notes & Community Reviews
Widely regarded as Felt's absolute masterpiece, this album perfectly integrates Martin Duffy's cascading Hammond organ with the band's pristine jangle-pop guitar work. Lawrence's deadpan, highly poetic vocal delivery navigates intensely bittersweet, autumnal narratives of isolation and romantic failure. It is an energetic, profoundly melancholic classic that deeply influenced the British indie-pop landscape.
