The Pictorial Jackson Review

The Pictorial Jackson Review cover art

Intentionally designed as a record of two distinct halves, Lawrence's eccentric indie-pop outfit offered a bizarre, dual-personality album. Side A consists of tight, melancholic jangle pop characterized by Martin Duffy's prominent organ work, while Side B inexplicably pivots into entirely instrumental, cocktail-lounge piano jazz sketches.
