Album Notes & Community Reviews

Returning from a brief hiatus, brothers Peter and David Brewis constructed a dizzyingly intricate suite of short, interlocking melodic vignettes. The production is characterized by sudden time-signature shifts, rich vocal harmonies, and heavily staccato instrumentation reminiscent of 1970s art rock. It was notably nominated for the Mercury Prize, validating the duo's idiosyncratic approach to complex, progressive pop music.
