Album Notes & Community Reviews

Under his former moniker, Owen Pallett bases the structural concept of this album entirely on the Dungeons & Dragons schools of magic, employing a full string quartet. The complex, baroque-pop arrangements support deeply literary and esoteric lyricism regarding queerness, conflict, and love. The project was highly celebrated for its virtuosic violin looping and conceptual ambition.
