Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spearheaded by Dave Lambert, who would later achieve fame with the Strawbs, this highly ambitious project operates as a full-fledged, fairy tale-themed rock opera. The narrative is driven by spoken-word interludes and a whimsical, intricately arranged blend of heavy psychedelia and baroque pop structures. Despite its creative depth and strong cult status today, the complex conceptual piece failed to resonate commercially upon release.
