Album Notes & Community Reviews
'More Than Just a Dream' marks a massive stylistic shift for the Los Angeles band, moving away from their vintage Motown-soul roots to embrace slick, 1980s-influenced synth-pop and alternative rock. Driven by the inescapable, whistle-heavy hit single 'The Walker', the album heavily utilizes programmed beats and bright keyboards to craft relentlessly upbeat pop-rock anthems. The polished, highly commercial sound launched them into mainstream pop ubiquity.
