Album Notes & Community Reviews

The Oxford quintet delivers the first half of an ambitious double-album project, heavily exploring themes of environmental collapse and technological anxiety. The record masterfully balances their math-rock origins with incredibly lush, stadium-sized alternative dance and post-punk revival anthems. It marked a massive commercial and critical peak, earning them a Mercury Prize nomination and a Brit Award.
