Produced by pop producer Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia), the band's ninth studio album was an intentional effort to pair their hard rock sound with complex pop harmonies. Described by Dave Grohl as "Mot枚rhead's version of 'Sgt. Pepper'", the record features a wide range of guest vocalists, including Justin Timberlake and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men, creating a dense, layered sound.
