Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving at the height of the arena rock era, Foreigner's fifth studio album achieved global domination largely on the back of the gospel-inflected power ballad 'I Want to Know What Love Is'. While the band attempted to retain their hard rock credibility on heavier album cuts, the project鈥檚 massive crossover success inextricably linked them to soft-rock commercialism. It remains a definitive commercial artifact of slick, synthesizer-driven 80s AOR.
