Babacar

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Driven entirely by the immaculate songwriting and production of her husband Michel Berger, the French pop icon delivered her most commercially successful album of the decade. 'Babacar' features lush, sophisticated synthpop arrangements highlighting the massive tribute to Ella Fitzgerald, 'Ella, elle l'a'. The record masterfully balances highly melodic adult contemporary gloss with profound, introspective lyricism.
