Album Notes & Community Reviews
Supported by the impeccable songwriting and production of her husband Michel Berger, France Gall delivered a massive commercial triumph with 'Paris, France'. The album successfully updates her classic chanson style with punchy, contemporary piano-rock and incredibly catchy pop hooks, famously driven by the iconic single 'Il jouait du piano debout'. It defined the sound of mainstream French pop entering the 1980s.
