Alice non lo sa

Album Notes & Community Reviews

The solo debut from one of Italy's most profoundly gifted singer-songwriters establishes his signature blend of elegant acoustic balladry and highly literate, poetic storytelling. Stripped of the dense progressive orchestrations popular at the time, the album relies on pristine piano and acoustic guitar arrangements to support De Gregori's evocative narratives. The record's title track, addressing the social unease of the era, remains an enduring cornerstone of the 'canzone d'autore' movement.
