Album Notes & Community Reviews

Often regarded as the zenith of his career, the Italian singer-songwriter crafted a profoundly literate, acoustic-driven reflection on memory, history, and radical politics. Translating to 'Roots', the album's intricate fingerpicking and subtle chamber folk arrangements perfectly frame Guccini's complex lyrical narratives, particularly on the monumental epic 'La locomotiva'. It remains an absolute pillar of the Italian cantautore tradition.
