Album Notes & Community Reviews

Continuing his highly successful streak of intelligent Italian pop, this concept-driven album heavily explores themes of space travel and cosmic philosophy. 'Mondi lontanissimi' utilizes grand, orchestrated synthesizer arrangements and drum programming to support Battiato's distinctively literate, intellectual songwriting. The record seamlessly blends the esoteric, experimental inclinations of his 1970s work with the highly accessible new wave structures that made him a massive mainstream star.
