Album Notes & Community Reviews

Capitalizing on her meteoric rise across Europe, Fran莽oise Hardy translated and re-recorded her most successful melancholic French y茅-y茅 hits specifically for the booming Italian market. Her breathy, distinctly Parisian vocal delivery adapts surprisingly well to the Italian language, backed by the lush, twangy orchestrations that defined her early career. It demonstrates the highly localized, pan-European marketing strategies of the 1960s pop industry.
