Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded partially in London and arranged by John Paul Jones, this album sees the definitive French pop icon moving gracefully away from the upbeat Yé-yé style of her youth. The record is incredibly somber and mature, dominated by lush, cinematic string arrangements and deeply melancholic acoustic balladry. It stands as one of the most sophisticated, beautifully arranged entries in her illustrious 1960s discography.
